A catching game, not a molecular simulation: real Rubisco does not choose, move between lanes, or make sugar directly. RuBP is assumed available here. The falling molecules, timing and target are game rules. Carbon fixation ↗ · Photorespiration ↗

ONE JOB. FIX SOME CARBON.

Catch CO₂. Dodge O₂.

  1. Press Start. The round lasts 60 active seconds.
  2. Move the Rubisco enzyme between three lanes. Use arrows, keys 1–3, the lane buttons, or your mouse/touch on the scene.
  3. Catch labeled CO₂ diamonds. Each catch counts one carbon-fixation reaction. Aim for 12. An O₂-circle catch counts an oxygenation reaction; there is no score deduction.
  4. At the end, read the short recap and play again.

Rubisco can add either CO₂ or O₂ to RuBP. CO₂ fixation produces two 3-PGA molecules. O₂ reaction starts photorespiration. Controlling the enzyme is a game abstraction; real enzymes do not make deliberate choices.
