Turn pre-mRNA into mature mRNA before nucleases destroy it. Swipe across grey introns to cut them out (exons join automatically; never tap an exon), tap the 5′ end to add the cap, and tap the 3′ end three times for the poly-A tail. Then it exits to the cytoplasm!

How to Play mRNA Workshop

Turn pre-mRNA into mature mRNA before nucleases destroy it. Swipe across grey introns to cut them out (exons join automatically; never tap an exon), tap the 5′ end to add the cap, and tap the 3′ end three times for the poly-A tail. Then it exits to the cytoplasm!

Each round lasts up to 150 seconds. Mistakes or signal overload can end a round earlier. Pause freezes play; Play Again starts a new round.

Molecules and pathway steps are enlarged teaching models. Shapes, colors, amplification counts, and processing times are simplified for play.
