Defend a leaf through light and drought alarms by coordinating guard-cell H⁺ pumps, ions, water and ABA signaling.

PLAYER GUIDE

How to Play

  1. Survive four 30-second alarms. Light waves ask you to open the pore; ABA and dry-wind waves ask you to close it.
  2. For opening, activate the H⁺ pump, then import K⁺. Counterions and water support turgor. For closure, relay ABA signaling, then release K⁺ and anions; water leaves and turgor falls.
  3. Complete steps in sequence for score combos. Wrong actions cost integrity. Keep ATP, leaf water and turgor in balance until the end.
  4. Pause with P or study safely in Explore untimed. Meter values and action timing are simplified teaching mechanics.

Support meters, health, scores and timing are game abstractions. Real plant cells use continuous transport and regulation.
