A signal arrives. Which genes should respond? Combine compatible transcription factors, enhancers, repressors, and chromatin access to build a selective expression program.

Transcription index and bands are model outputs. The display does not measure protein abundance or physiological response.
Your observations will appear here.
DNA regulatory sites recruit compatible proteins. Activators and repressors affect transcription, while chromatin access changes which sites can be reached. Enhancer action depends on context.

For the curious at heart. A pocket-sized collection of science-inspired games.Made for a quick break, a little discovery, and one more round.
Complete six gene-regulation challenges in a two-minute round. The clock starts when you press Start. Practice mode removes the deadline.
Open chromatin alone gives low output. An inactive or incompatible factor cannot produce high transcription. The disrupted enhancer in challenge 4 cannot be restored by its switch.
Keyboard: 1–4 select the signal; Enter runs the assay; P pauses; M toggles music; H opens help. All switches work with pointer, touch, and keyboard.
The transcription index, output bands, exact timing, and scores are game mechanics. Real expression is graded, noisy, and specific to the cell and gene. This model represents transcription, not instant protein production or a measured phenotype.
Music starts after a play action. Help, pause, and a hidden browser tab freeze the round. A saved best score stays on this browser when storage is available.
